I am an elementary teacher and I introduced Webkinz to my classroom. We had two class pets and we played together as a class online answering the questions at Quizzy’s. The questions were right on grade level and some questions even went right along with what we were studying. Since it’s the summer, I have brought our two pets to my house - Daisy and Dumbo. I now have become a frequent Webkinz user - I think it’s a great site. I bought one for my nephew and he loves it. Nearly all my students have at least one, while many have many (3 and up). It’s a great website and a great idea!!

I’m a mom with two kids and 8 webkinz. I checked out the whole privacy thing before they got online. The chat content is safe because the kids pick pre-written messages on pull-down menus — they are not able to type in anything on their own. When they “visit” a friend there is not much chatting anyway — they really just like to see how the pets’ rooms are decorated and maybe to play an interactive connect-four type game. My favorite part is the “studio”, where the kids can make their own cartoons! Really fun.

We just bought our first Webkinz (and then went out and bought 4 more!) We think it’s great. Privacy isn’t an issue, since the only “chatting” allowed is from pre-written text in a pull-down menu. It’s educational - the questions at Quizzy’s and learning to handle Kinzcash and take care of a pet (you should have seen my son’s face when he had to choose between buying food or a toy for his pet!!)
